Safeguarding our community is our top priority. We use a complex safety infrastructure to prevent scams, combat fraud and the sale of stolen goods. We also regularly assist the police and other authorities with their investigations. Welfare concerns are always taken seriously.
Law enforcement enquiries
If you are from law enforcement or an investigative body, we advise you to report general welfare concerns directly to our Law Enforcement Liaison Officer. Simply complete our listings removal form and email it to noticeandtakedown@gumtree.com.
User enquiries about welfare concerns
The above form is for law enforcement and investigative bodies only. If you are a general Gumtree user and come across a listing for a prohibited item or something that you’re just not sure about, you can report it via our helpdesk or by using the Report Ad button. Once you’ve notified us of the issue, we’ll review the listing and take any necessary actions.
You should never hesitate to contact the police if you have welfare concerns that a person is in immediate danger.
