Our Law Enforcement Liaison Officer
Our dedicated Law Enforcement Liaison Officer works with law enforcement and government agencies to help with their investigations. In accordance with our policies, we will happily provide evidence to assist with legal inquiries. Our Law Enforcement Liaison Officer processes DPA requests under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the information that’s disclosed can help in supporting criminal investigations. If you are from law enforcement or an investigative body and have a general welfare concern, please complete our listings removal form. Then email it to noticeandtakedown@gumtree.com.
Animal welfare
Gumtree also works closely with animal welfare charities, such as the RSPCA in England and Wales and SSPCA in Scotland. In addition, all our listings meet the advertising standards outlined by the Pets Advertising Advisory Group. Our goal is that all animals listed to be rehomed on Gumtree are done so legally. In addition, the animals should always treated ethically and humanely. We will always help with animal welfare investigations and support the charities in their inquiries. We also provide information for people considering rehoming pets as well as how to properly care for animals on our dedicated Pets Guides.
