How Delivery to pick-up point works
- Select at Checkout: As a buyer, choose “Delivery to pick-up point” and select the most convenient locker or store from the map.
- Pick up and go: The buyers will get a notification from the carrier via email with a unique code when the item is ready for collection. Just head to the store/locker and collect it at your convenience.
If a buyer chooses delivery to a pick-up point (Store or Locker,) they must collect their item within the carrier’s specified timeframe (typically 3 calendar days for lockers and 7-10 calendar days for stores, depending on the carrier).
If the buyer fails to collect the item within the timeframe:
- The item will be automatically returned to the seller.
- The transaction will be cancelled.
- The buyer will be refunded the item price.
Gumtree reserves the right to retain the Delivery Fee and Buyer Protection Fee to cover the cost of the failed delivery.
The Buyer Protection fee is applied at checkout and consists of:
- A flat fee of £0.70
- Plus a variable fee of the item price of between 5% – 10%, depending on the value and category of the item.
