Please, please. please think very carefully before advertising a pet as 'free to a good home'.
If you want to give your pet away free, the 2 safest options...
1) Talk to the local rescues - they will help you
2) Vet the new potential owner, ask to maintain contact, see where your pet could end up living.
Advertising as free often allows unsuitable people to obtain pets.
Lots of dogs/kittens/cats given for free end up as dog bait for dog fighting!
Rescue's are often full to the brim & you may need to go on a awaiting list, but if you care that shouldnt matter.
Asking a decent price, maybe taking an offer on the price is a good way.
Decent kind people will not mind a homecheck or follow up correspondance.
If you love ur pet (s) PLEASE SAFEGUARD THEIR FUTURE!
