A new post for a Web Designer has arisen at a leading VOIP network service provider based in Leeds, UK. The Post has been created because the Company is expanding its Development team, due to customer demand. Job Description
• A Web Developer/Designer with skills that focusses on Interface Design.
• Development and maintenance of in house websites to specifications agreed with the Project Manager
• Responsible for development and maintenance of web based applications run by the company.
• Develop standards for web development designed and built internally
• Maintenance and support of current websites
• Develop, test, and implement new websites
• Analyse, enhance, and customize current websites
• Support quality assurance testing and production installations
• Create analysis, design, and test documents
• Provide technical support to internal consultants working on client projects
• Interface with clients to gather and document business and system requirements
• Provide customer support as and when required
• Document all website faults and their resolution
• Provide advice and technical assistance to the IT Operations Team in areas of expertise

Technical Skills
Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• JQuery
• Experience in control panel design
• ASP.NET 2.0 or above using C#
• HTML
• CSS2
• Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL preferred)
• Practical knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 development environment
• Knowledge of W3C web standards
• Experience with SOAP based web services as well as RESTful services.
• Unit Testing (NUnit)
• 3 months plus of practical experience implementing AJAX based applications

Desirable
• Understanding of IIS configuration and web server performance
• HTML5
• CSS3
• Knowledge and use of graphics packages (such as Gimp, Paint.NET, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Understanding of Agile development processes
• Software development skills for web-based and n-tier applications. Experienced in the analysis and design of middle-tier components
• Knowledge of Share Point 2007, Cuyahoga, UML, XML and web services is advantageous
• PHP, Perl/Mason knowledge
• Experience with Apache web server management
• Experience in interfacing with corporate IT systems
• Good analysis and people skills
• Windows based software development
