We are looking for motivated and hard working volunteers, who like to coexist with different people and cultures. We are looking for volunteers who want to change small things in this world, and through these small changes to be part of the generations of volunteers who bring about changes on the grand scale needed in this world of ours.
Gain a B-certificate in Pedagogy and a B-Certificate in Fighting with The Poor. (Each B-certificate is equal to 1 year of university credits)
Our 24 month programs takes 2 important issues in the world of today and tackles them directly with theoretical considerations and practice together with the people. These issues are the need of teachers with high ethics and practice who know about the lives of the people they touch through their teachings: and the billions of poor people on this planet who need to gain new skills to build better lives.
The 24 months program includes:
1st Period in Denmark: 12 months studies, investigations and action research on important issues connected to Pedagogy and Fighting with The Poor. The period & on-the-job training as a teacher / social worker with students with special needs at schools and care homes.
2nd period in Africa or India: 8 months volunteer work at a
development project with 4 months focus on Pedagogy and 4 months focus on Fighting with The Poor. The projects include community development projects, HIV & AIDS prevention and working at Teacher Training Colleges. Studies take place during evenings and weekends. You will focus on working to improve the conditions of the poor people in the society. You will make programs with women and youth – and you will try to mobilise the men for change! You will work in Trios at leadership level.
3rd period in Denmark & Europe: 4 months gathering and producing products to spread awareness to the public throughout Europe along with final studies, evaluations and exams.
