Workstream, one of the leading suppliers of temporary site personnel to the UK construction industry, is looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to work from its busy office in the Docklands area of London. The trainee recruitment consultant role at Workstream is a ground-floor opportunity for people with the right qualities to take their first steps into the recruitment industry. The primary qualities we look for in candidates are:
- A burning ambition to succeed in the recruitment industry
- An outgoing, enthusiastic personality with an excellent telephone manner
- The ability to deal calmly, confidently and professionally with pressure, whether from clients, candidates or colleagues
- A self-motivated, energetic and highly customer-focused attitude to work
- The ability to work happily with personal computers and standard office applications such as email and word processing, and to cope with the demands of accurate data entry and maintenance

No formal qualifications are required for this position although it is likely that candidates with higher levels of academic achievement will be fast-tracked to more senior positions.

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Accurate entry and maintenance of the companyÂs candidate and client database records
- Research and production of lists of suitable candidates to fill clients vacancies
- Keeping in regular telephone contact with candidates and clients
- Writing and sending email and text job alerts to suitable candidates
- Meeting new candidates and taking them to site
