We are The Fish Society, the UK's leading internet fishmonger. We sell 300 kinds of fish, which we deliver directly to our customers' homes all over the UK and abroad. We employ six people.

We need an ambitious young person who will learn our business quickly and then take a full role in everything we do. That will include getting close up to wet cold slimy fish every now and again as well as summonsing up some quite sophisticated reports from our quite sophisticated IT systems. You'll also need a good telephone manner to keep our customers happy when they ring and the patience of Job to deal with delivery companies. In other words, we need an all-rounder.

We think you'll probably be in your mid 20s, probably with a degree and a couple of years of practical business experience.

You'll need slick IT skills. Do you know your csvs from your tabs? Can you query a big database?

We'll pay £18k for the right person and we hope they'll earn a rise fairly fast.

If you don't match our spec, we would consider applications from younger people who would be interested in a one month internship with a view to staying on if you do well.
