We design and install control systems in buildings which automatically operate and monitor the plant and equipment that uses energy to heat, cool and provide lighting to buildings. We also become involved with other technology aspects of buildings, such as CCTV and air conditioning. A controls engineer in our industry will need to learn many engineering skills and disciplines, such as project management, software design, CAD, graphics, on site commissioning etc. The business is challenging and demanding, and good engineers develop and use a multitude of different skills every day.

A good and experienced controls engineer will command an excellent salary - much higher than average, with benefits including fully expensed company car, 25 days holiday per annum, and private health insurance,.

In line with planned growth and expansion we are seeking a trainee engineer, who given the right training will quickly develop into a valuable member of our team. You will need to be flexible and hardworking, have a good education, including good GCSE grades in Maths, sciences and English. Electrical engineering experience and qualifications a definite advantage, as would be higher level qualifications such as HNC / Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering disciplines. An interest in computers and software skills also a pre-requisite of this position.

As a trainee your starting salary will be commenurate with your skills and experience, but will grow as your contribution to the operation of our business grows.
