Due to one of the owners setting up a new retail outlet the need has arisen for a Supervisor to take over the responsibility of running the pub on certain shifts.
Supervisor of Pub with rooms- busy local community pub serving pub drinks and a limited pub menu. 5 Letting bedrooms
35- 40 hours per week
0ver 5 days
Includes days, evenings & weekends. Start times vary and the pub closes at 11.30pm so generally finish by midnight
Will work on a shift basis opposite to another Supervisor- cover for each other and provide operational supervision over 6 days which will generally include weekends.
When on duty Responsible for all aspects of running the pub including bar service and overall smooth running of the business the main focus being Customer Service and Standards
Supervising staff and open/ close and shift procedures
Preparation and cooking of food.
Cellar and stocks
Dealing with room bookings, check ins and supervision of room cleaning when on duty
Organising promotional offers to drive trade
Organising staff, rotas.
Supervising the cook (when on duty) ensuring quality & standards are maintained.
Pay negotiable & dependent on experience circa £7.25 p hr
Person with enthusiasm for the trade and a natural focus on customer service is likely to be successful in the position.
Previous experience is preferred and a personal licence would be excellent.
Ability to do basic cooking is essential.
Ability to cope under pressure and still stay focussed on the needs of the customer is crucial as well as ability to get on well with people
Able to communicate clearly with staff, to give and receive feedback and to check that standards are being maintained.
Responsible for till and cash up so satisfactory references and numeracy skills are important. Also responsible for open and close procedures
Able to come on a day trial to see what is involved
Training will be given which may include Personal licence training
