• Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant clinical field incl. nursing, OT, psychology, social work
• Post graduate management qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development

This post provides Clinical management across the hospital Service
The post-holder is responsible for the management of ward based staff and will ensure that staff are managed in line with the Vista’s employment policies, Protocols and Procedures.

The Service Manager will provide leadership and direction to the wards, taking the lead from the Director for developing the strategy for the wards in line with the Vista’s overall strategy and best practice. This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical innovation and modernisation, the delivery of all operational performance targets, and financial management, ward and therapy management. The Service Manager is responsible for maintaining and continually improving the quality of services to patients and redesigning systems to meet best practice standards, improving efficiency and effectiveness within available resources.
