Senior support worker/support worker
Experienced support worker needed for a supported living placement in Thurrock. The role is to support people who need assistance with independent living skills/personal hygiene and encourage independence. Duties include; reporting on the well being of individuals; participate in social activities by interacting and helping with meaningful activities and interests; assist in the serving of meals and drinks where required; escort people during planned trips and social outings; monitor changes to behaviour and report to team leader; support and encourage people to undertake household chores and support the development processes and practices.

As the successful senior support Worker/support worker you will have a genuine interest in working in the care environment and possess excellent communication and team working skills. You will be willing to undertake training and personal development. Desirable would be someone with NVQ Level 3 or with Level 2 and happy to work towards level 3.
Your shift patterns will vary from week to week (07.45 to 15.45 or 15.00 to 23.00). You will also be required to sleep in on occasion, including weekends. Part time and full time vacancies are available.
