A primary Mainstream school in Enfield is recruiting for an experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to start in January 2013. This is for 1 term until the right person is appointed in July 2013. You would however have the opportunity to apply for the permanent post which will be advertised in April 2013.
As the SENCO you will be responsible for the academic progress and welfare of all children with SEN, focusing in particular with statemented children. You will liaise with Head of Subjects to help them manage the Learning Support timetables to meet the individual needs of students. You will identify through assessment children with literacy, language and social needs, using the specific resources to monitor their needs.
