A top performing Secondary school on the Nottingham/Derbyshire border requires an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with small groups of students with Autism.
The post is initially expected to last 6 months and will be made permanent for the right person. It is essential that applicants have experience of assisting Autistic students in a secondary school environment and be compassionate, patient and dedicated.
The school has been awarded an "Outstanding" grade by OfSTED and has been praised for its inclusion, school spirit and state-of-the-art new buildings. The school prides itself on fostering a caring environment for staff and students alike and creates a positive atmosphere in which to learn.
There are very few behavioural issues present within the school and one will find it a positive and supportive workplace. Staff will also enjoy ongoing opportunities for CPD.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidates will be confident and have a positive approach, as well as having relevant qualifications, the right to work in the UK, 2 professional references from within the last 2 years and a valid CRB.
