Assistnat Visitor Experience Manager, Newark Park, Gloucestershire

Job Type: Member and Visitor Experience
Salary: £7.11 per hour
Working Pattern: Seasonal/part-time. Three days a week, 24hrs/week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

About the role
Managing and inspiring our dedicated, friendly team of staff and volunteers, you’ll bring out the best in all those around you, ensuring the smooth day to day running of all aspects of the visitor experience. Passionate about lasting first impressions, you’ll assist the Visitor Experience Manager and take responsibility for the visitor welcome in the car park, house and reception areas, offering the highest possible level of personal service. You’ll also help ensure our healthy future by championing membership, working towards ambitious admission targets and improving income through various sources. Supporting Newark Park to develop links with the local community and contributing to our innovative programme of events and learning activities will also be important. In short, you will help visitors to leave Newark Park feeling that they can’t wait to come back!

About you
With experience of supervising and motivating a team, you’ll already have worked in a similar customer facing role. Comfortable working to financial targets, you’ll have handled cash. You’ll need to be IT literate too. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll be a passionate ambassador for excellent customer service and will stop at nothing to make sure every person who comes to visit us, leaves with happy memories. Confident and positive, you know how to get the best out of a team, helping them fulfil their full potential. A great listener and enthusiastic self-starter, you’ll also have a genuine interest in the work we do.
