We are currently looking for a Dutch-speaking research assistant willing to work on a freelance basis. Tasks will include conducting desk research in Belgium using Dutch sources and phone up/email government officials, and academics.
The Europe Japan Centre is a specialist research institute working for Japanese think tanks, research institutes, companies, trade associations and government organisations. Our projects range from research on technical issues and governmental policy (energy and environment, social and transport)to market analysis and meeting arrangements.
Requirements (please do not reply if you do not meet these requirements):
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Educated to Postgraduate level (at least MA/MSc)
- Background in social sciences
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Useful Characteristics:
- Persistence, determination and an interest in a wide variety of topics
- Good team worker, but also able to work independently
- Quick learner who can produce work rapidly
- Creativity and enthusiasm.
