Essex- Qualified Social Worker (Children)

ONGOING POST
Role Type: Temp/Locum
Salary: £25 to £30 per hour

SW Locums is looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 years UK post qualification experience. All candidates must be GSCC/HCPC registered, have an Enhanced CRB issued within the last 12 months, have the right to work in the UK and hold a recognised Social Work qualification in order to be considered for this role. A car driver is not required.

Experience required for this post will include:
DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent.
Skills in Word, Outlook and computerised records data
Experience in a Child Care setting.
To make timely and consistent judgements on referrals to Childrens Social Care using the Guidance for Threshold of Need and Intervention Criteria for Childrens
To work as a member of the Initial Response Team ensuring children and young people receive the appropriate service according to their individual need.
Informed decision making based upon current research, legislation, policy and County Council Guidance
Recent experience of communicating with children of all ages and working in partnership with parents and/or carers.
Experience in planning activities and programmes for children, young people and parents.
Knowledge of current legislation pertinent to Child Protection (e.g CA1989, CA 2004, Guidance and Regulations, Every Child Matters.
Knowledge and understanding of child development theories.
Experience in Child protection work, especially Section 47 investigations and assessments.
Knowledge of therapeutic methods of working with dysfunctional families and/or families in crisis
