This is an excellent opportunity for a Tailoring Pattern cutter with technical experience to join an established London based Ladies Fashion Supplier. Volume Clothing Ltd. is supplying womenÂ’s wear Tailoring/Casualwear fashion to UK and international High Street Retailers.

The candidate will ideally have 3 yearsÂ’ experience in the relevant field. You would be responsible for all aspects of the production side, from fit through to sealing and bulk. Liaising with manufacturers and customers, creating specifications, size charts and technical packs, updating comments and dealing with technical and quality issues. You will need an understanding of tailoring garment construction and manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities include:
-organising/Overseeing the in house development sampling process working closely with the design team and creative pattern cutters to provide technical guidance to achieve the desired product for the customer. This involves considering fabrics and construction methods.
-attending fit sessions with the customer and ensuring that fit comments are being translated and put into action correctly.
-Amending patterns according to the fit comments
-Creating and maintaining the size and fitting standards of each customer
-measuring garments and creating graded specs once the garment is sealed
-an understanding of the grading process is beneficial when communicating with the grader and factory
-Overseeing dockets and orders and making sure that the critical path is met at all times is essential to the business
-considering fabric testing results when making samples.
-Ensuring that the relevant information is forwarded and discussed to be able to meet the critical dates. Identify and communicate changes of fit or pattern to all relevant parties especially the production team.
-Liaising with the customer and the factories at all times. Providing technical advice when required and undertake risk analysis upon technically challenging products, whilst maintaining the product design aesthetic requirement/s.
-problem solving and supporting the factories at pre-prod and production stage. Discussing construction, technical and quality related issues.
-checking bulk, and ensuring that it is to the required standard of the customer and specification given

Must be fluent in spoken and written English/be resident in the UK.
