We require a respite carer to look after our severely autistic 11 year old son.

You must be patient and calm and able to manage challenging behaviour . He needs someone reasonably fit and energetic to supervise and keep up with him.

Duties include: taking him on community trips, encouraging communication as well as looking after him at home and helping with daily living skills.

Previous experience of working with autistic children is essential.

Might suit a psychology student or learning support assistant.

Hours: 3.5/4 hours on Sundays (pm) and additional hours are available during school holidays by mutual agreement.

Nearest Tube: Hammermith/Shepherd’s Bush

Applicants must speak fluent English and a Work Permit and References are essential for this post. A brand new CRB check will be undertaken for this position. NOT Cash in Hand.
