We are a small, successful and well established business specialising in Oriental inspired artisan ice cream, serving the food service sector. We are currently looking for an ice cream production assistant to join our friendly team.
We have seen consistent organic growth in this niche sector since we were started trading 2 years ago and would like to now take a more proactive approach to the next phase of company expansion.
This role would suit a person with experience of working in food production / working kitchens. Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous, though full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be based at our ice cream factory in Sheffield city centre. Responsibilities would primarily include:
production of ice cream / sorbet, packaging of product ready for deliveries, cleaning of the production facility, stock control, completion of paperwork relating to the food quality management system which we implement.
Candidate requirements: ability to work independently, use own initiative, good organisational skills, clean and tidy, trustworthy, willingness to learn new skills and get involved in all aspects of the business.
The candidate will be expected to work 16 hours per week, 2 full days. Hourly rate of £7.00 will be given to the right candidate.
