Job description follows:
Reporting: General Manager
Role: To have full management responsibility for all operational aspects of the business); to manage operational staff (including field managers) to deliver and surpass all laid down service and profitability objectives for contracts; to manage and further existing client relationships.
Financial To be the primary budget holder for operations, to monitor performance against budget on an ongoing basis, to propose efficiencies that will allow improved performance against budget without affecting operational activity or customer service
Operational To take overall responsibility for service delivery to specification; to ensure appropriate staffing on sites and ensure staff shortfalls are promptly dealt with; to review and challenge actual against budget wages and ensure rectification where necessary
Client service To take primary responsibility for client service and the internal monitoring of client service performance; to review the QCA program results, highlight and take corrective action where necessary
Client relations To liaise with client management to ensure that any issues or opportunities are identified on a timely basis; to pass potential sales opportunities to the Commercial Director for follow up
Intnl relations: To maintain regular contact with field managers and other operations staff; to liaise with credit control and assist where necessary in ensuring cash receivables
Purchasing: To review and manage the companys purchasing procedures and strategies and ensure that these represent best value and most efficient use of stock
HR: To identify and manage potential HR issues with operations staff; to ensure at all times that the appropriate legal framework is followed prior to taking action; to effect operations staff induction and training; to ensure that Company guidelines and procedures are followed
General: To promote the best interests of the Company at all times; to take responsibility for all matters relating to operations.
