Every year in the UK 30,000 children trap and seriously injure their fingers in doors.
Safehinge Ltd is a market-leading company - based in Glasgow - which originally launched in 2008 with the award-winning Safehinge ALU - a finger protection system that is fully integrated into doors. Safehinge ALU is now used in new buildings by leading local authorities all around the UK. The company now focuses on developing best-in-class products for the construction industry.
The company seeks an Office Manager:
Role
The role involves:
1. Sales and Purchase order processing and invoicing (Sage 50 Accounts)
2. Financial management - cashflow, daily banking, invoice factoring, credit control
3. Liaising with logistics team in order to ensure that delivery deadlines are met and resolving any delivery queries
4. Book keeping and Payroll
5. Answering main company phone line (excellent phone manner required)
6. Ensure smooth running of office and facilities management in general
7. Supporting company directors with financial forecasting, budgeting and in general
8. Provide administrative support and act as point of contact to all employees and contractors
9. Mail incoming and outgoing
10. Managing staff expenses
11. After sales POD requests, customer satisfaction
12. Running of office: replenishing consumables, cleanliness, meeting organisation and so on
The ideal candidate is:
- Highly-capable in dealing with numbers and finance
- Methodical with a high attention to detail
- Organised and a good organiser
- Experienced in office administration
- Experienced working with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office (incl. Excel) or a fast learner
- Experience in freight and logistics operations would be advantageous (not essential)
- An excellent communicator (written, spoken -including phone- and interpersonal)
- Full of initiative and their own ideas. Hands-on, pro-active
- Holds a UK driving license
- Confident, reliable and comfortable in a dynamic company
Hours: 9am 3pm*
*exact hours worked to be discussed with candidate.
Pay: £20,000 p.a. full time equivalent (pro-rata to hours agreed)
