My name is Amy-Joy, I am a 25 year old, married non-smoker. I live in Kingston Upon Thames and am available for full time nannying/babysitting work in Surrey and SW London. I'm a very warm, kind, patient and creative person who has a true passion for working with children and young people. I feel my love of creativity works hand in hand with my love of working with children and can help extend and continue a young person's overall development in all the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

I live in Kingston with my husband who also works with children and young people in the local area. We both hold full CRB checks.

I worked at a nursery in South East London from February 2011 until February 2012 (full time) while I gained my NVQ2 in the Children and Young People's Workforce. At this setting, I cared for the children in the 2 - 5 unit, providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all the children in the nursery.

One of my duties was to work with children with Individual Educational Plans which have been set up by Educational Physiologists and the SENCO. I read the reports and then planned and carried out both one-to-one and group activities with the child. I then recorded my evaluation of the activity. I have worked with children with speech and language difficulties, behaviour and social difficulties and autism.

I'm also familiar with and put into practice many aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child's A Talker.

I have also done voluntary work in a primary school in South East London, where I worked in the classroom, playground and art room.

In June and July 2006, 2007 and 2008 I was a Special Educational Needs Exams Invigilator/Scribe for Abbey Wood Secondary School.

Since November 2007 I have been a volunteer for Our Friends Records, a Kingston based music promotions company. Our Friends Records organise and run music events for both over and under 18s. I am involved in promotional design, event organisation and the running of the events. Our Friends Records also work in partnership with The International Youth Arts Festival, a charity which promotes the development of young people working within the creative arts.

I have a NVQ2 in the Children and Young People's Workforce and have completed a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course. I have also attended training courses in Food Hygiene, Active Movement, SEN Foundation Training and Epi Pen Training and I have a full CRB check.

I also have a BA Hons in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design and a Level 3 Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design) from Camberwell College of Art.

I'm available for nannying and babysitting full or part time, and my fees are negotiable.

I also provide art classes and workshops for children,

Creativity is essential in a child's overall development, its supports their curiosity, exploration and play and gives them an opportunity to explore and share their thoughts, ideas and feelings. It enables babies and children to explore many processes, media and materials and to make new things emerge as a result. Creativity involves children initiating their own learning, making choices and decisions, taking risks and making connections.

Creative play is so important for children, their responses to what they see, hear and experience through their senses are individual and the way they represent their experiences is unique and valuable.

Creativity helps to build young, confident individuals.

I provide the materials for the sessions,

I charge £30 for a 1.5 hr session.
