Prior experience as a receptionist can be advantageous.
A Medical receptionist, or secretary role can be a very demanding one within a hospital, clinical environment. Receptionists are the ones that meet and greet patients and potential patients once they enter a facility. They can answer any questions patients may have or provide paperwork for new potential patients. They are also the last person patients see as they take care of scheduling for the patients next visit and handle any billing concerns.
You must be:
- Well organised
- Have high level of telephone mannerisms
- Exceptional listening skills
- Computer literate
- Good time management
- Self reliant
- Work of your own initiative
- Must have a first aid certificate
- Must have a Medical Receptionist certificate or previous experience
