A great opportunity to join our team in London as a Groups Operations Executive to deal with all the Incoming services for UK and Europe.
As a Groups Operations Executive you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:
Receiving Inbound groups requests on from our sales departments
Researching suppliers including the utilization of non-contracted suppliers wherever appropriate
Contacting suppliers according to the sales requirements either by e-mail, fax or telephone to make a reservation
Negotiating the best possible rates and conditions
Dealing with amendments and cancellations
Dealing with all operational matters once the group has been confirmed such as amendments, pax changes, rooming, pre-forma and follow up of cancellation and payments terms and conditions
Dealing with inbound telephone, fax and email enquiries and liaising with Sales, Contract and Accounts departments
Focusing in maintaining good relationships with existing clients
Looking after tour leaders while the tour is on the road
Requirements:
Fluent in Mandarin
Permission to work in the UK
Previous relevant experience in tourism or a degree in travel & tourism is an advantage
Strong communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills
Good team player
Stamina and persistence
Ability to anticipate and solve problems - especially at the last minute
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Financial awareness including budgeting skills
Ability to organise and plan effectively and to prioritise tasks in order to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines
