The Position: We Are Currently Recruiting For Interns To Fill Vacancies In Our Thai Partner Schools As Language Teaching Assistants. Interns Will Work Alongside A Thai Teacher To Support English Language Tuition, With Particular Focus On Developing Conversational English, Correct Pronunciation, And Accurate Sentence Structure. Thai Schools Are Also Interested In Interns Running Projects On British Culture, History Or Current Affairs As Well As In Other Subject Areas Where They May Have A Particular Interest I.e. Art, Music, Sports, Drama Etc.
Interns Will Work A Maximum Of 25 Hours Per Week In The School. Thai Schools Will Pay The Intern A Local Salary; Which Is Less Than A Fully Qualified Teacher But Enough To Live On. Safe And Comfortable Accommodation Will Be Provided By The Thai Host School.
Location: We Have Partnerships With Educational Institutions Across Thailand. We Can Ensure That You Are Placed In A Location Which Is Suitable For You.
Length Of Internship: Internships Will Start From May 2013 - up to either Sept 2013 or March 2014. It is possible to renew the internship for a further period.
Eligibility: This Internship Is Ideal For Students Looking To Take A Gap Year Before University Or For Recently Gradated Students Looking For International Work Experience. Candidates Must Be 18 + To Apply And Must Have Completed Tertiary Education (A-levels Or Equivalent). Candidates Must Hold A Full Valid Passport And Must Be Fit And Eligible For International Travel From April/May 2013.
Interns Do Not Need Any Previous Teaching Experience, However, They Must Demonstrate On Their Application Forms And In Interview That They Are Enthusiastic, Independent, Creative And Hard-working Individuals Who Are Equipped With The Skills And Personal Attributes Required To Teach Schoolchildren And To Work Well Alongside Thai Staff. The Intern Must Also Demonstrate Their Ability To Adapt To New And Diverse Environments And Show A Willingness To Take On New Challenges In Order To Enhance Their Experience Abroad.
Cost: The Programme Fee For This Internship Is £999 for 5 months and 1200 for 10 months. This will be cost neutral for the intern and Includes: Ongoing Management Of Intern And Host School By Intern International Staff Throughout The Year; Training And Predeparture Workshops; On-call Assistance And Guidance; Annual Visits To The Intern In Their Host School; Personalized References From The Thai School And A Certificate Of Completion From Intern International.
