Job Title: Junior Web Developer
Responsible To: Creative Director
Salary: £15,000
Hours: 37.5 per week
Start Date: March 2012
Location: Liverpool City Centre
We are a vibrant young company in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. Due to our on-going success we are now seeking a Junior Web Developer.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you must be enthusiastic about web development and online disciplines in general.
Your role will be to work with our senior web development and design team to create and develop compelling, attractive, digital design solutions to enhance our clients’ online presence. You will also be required to assist on SEO and other e-marketing campaigns, such as XHTML email newsletters.
Our Junior Web Developer will be responsible for:
• Working alongside our senior web developers and designers to code web sites and web related media from concept to production - including landing pages and campaign sites.
• Working with our senior developer on bespoke websites and web applications that include content management and e-commerce systems.
• Analysing websites to discover ways of improving or extending functionality
• Managing the on-going maintenance of all client websites
• Writing client briefs
• Creating web development proposals where required
Minimum requirements:
• XHTML+ CSS2
• Educated to degree level in relevant discipline
• Database Fundamentals
• High attention to quality and detail
• Ability to deliver projects within timescales
• Must be able to work with others
• Good client communication skills
Desirable requirements:
• Experience of PHP, MySQL, CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript
• Understand cross-browser and cross-platform design issues, including web standards
• Experience of working with Wordpress content management systems an advantage
