Were a Covent Garden, London based creative web and communications agency looking to provide work experience for a Junior Front-End developer with a web portfolio.

We seek a passionate and energetic individual to join our team for a 3-6 month internship. The successful candidate must have excellent time keeping and time management skills as well as planning and scheduling of own responsibilities. You will be self-motivated with a great desire for learning and development in new and emerging technologies as well as open source internet tools. User experience skills and creativity are essential to the job role along with the ability to fit in with the organisation that is full of electric ideas.

Key responsibilities of the Junior Front-End Developer
Convert visual designs into semantic, valid and clean HTML and CSS.
Be aware of new and emerging front-end technologies
Involved in strategy, planning and creative ideas
Maintain high quality work and performance
Work on a variety of projects simultaneously
Deploy, test, debug and trouble shoot our various projects

Essential skills & knowledge for the Junior Front-End Developer position
Extremely fluent in HTML/HTML5
Extremely fluent in CSS/CSS3
Good knowledge in JavaScript libraries, particularly with jQuery
Ability to cut up images and mock ups in Photoshop
Good knowledge in WordPress as a CMS
Good knowledge and experience with responsive web design & media queries in terms of sites scaling across devices and platforms
Experience with cross browser issues
Basic knowledge of PHP

Desired skills & knowledge
Knowledge of SEO
Mac user

Experience
Ideally a proven track record of work or other experience

Education
Preferably university education within the above requirements
