PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To proactively assist the Head of Human Resources in the provision of comprehensive, efficient and proactive HR support to the Company’s management and employees.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Handle employees’ various queries on a daily basis, being their first point of contact in HR.
2. Demonstrate a high level of responsibility for the HR’s internal service level and act as the senior person in the HR Department in the Head of HR’s absence.
3. Co-ordinate all recruitment up to and including offers of employment.
4. Ensure new starter induction packs are with the appropriate manager by the day the new employee starts and process new starters’ admin.
5. Assist with the vetting and checking of new starters.
6. Support and guide the Admin Assistant.
7. Co-ordinate the checks and updating of required Licences, Certificates, CRB and tests.
8. Ensure Control are kept up to date with changes of information, as appropriate.
9. Carry out various administrative tasks to ensure that the HR Department delivers a proactive service to all areas of the business and reports its KPIs on a timely basis.
10. Assist or take the lead with ad hoc projects, as delegated by the Head of HR.
11. Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act at all times and maintain utmost confidentiality.
12. Ensure compliance with all Company rules and regulations and ensure own behaviour sets a good example to colleagues.
13. Assist in grievance and disciplinary procedures.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Is tenacious, empathetic, tactful and diplomatic with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organiser and efficient in their approach
• Has previous Human Resources experience including grievance and disciplinary procedures
• Demonstrates a good level of administration skills
• IT literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of using databases (such as Logosoft) would be an advantage
• May have the CPP qualification
• Demonstrates a good level of education when preparing documentation
