Due to the expansion of the business an exciting HR and Payroll officer role has been created. The ideal candidate will make a positive, proactive contribution to the overall success of the firm by delivering an excellent & effective HR service.
The role will be fast paced and each day will be different and bring its own challenges, having a can do attitude is vital as is enjoying what you do.
Areas of Responsibility include:
To be responsible for the day-to-day HR related administrative work and deal with staff queries as and when required.
To deal with staffing issues & low level grievances/disciplinaries.
To manage and be responsible for the recruitment process of vacancies as and when required, to ensure best practice and correct procedures are followed.
To organise training courses as required and all associated documentation,
To assist the Head of HR with the effective implementation of the company's Sickness & Absence policy, eg. ensure return to work interviews carried out and advice & guidance given to Managers as required.
To carry out HR inductions for new staff as and when required.
To be responsible for the maintenance and management of the HR Software (Sage) and ensure information stored is accurate and up-to-date.
To be responsible for processing payroll and in ensuring the delivery of an accurate and efficient payroll service on a monthly basis and all tasks associated with this area.
To process all statutory documentation e.g. SSP, SMP, SPP etc
Issuing out all tax documentation as necessary
To carry out monthly reconciliations and controls to ensure that all payments and deductions have been correctly applied.
