Job Title: Head Housekeeper
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary: £15,000

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Head Housekeeper to work at this beautiful 3 star hotel located in the heart of Chichester. This is a luxury, boutique hotel consisting of 36 beautiful bedrooms and a superb restaurant and bar.
The hotel is popular with all types of leisure guests as well as hosting many weddings, banquets and private functions throughout the year.
Duties will include:
To maintain a smart and clean appearance which reflects the way all staff should dress
To manage the housekeeping department to the three star standards suggested by the AA award system, ensuring all rooms and public areas are immaculately clean and tidy
To be responsible for the training and monitoring of all housekeeping staff and to have an authorised checking system in place so that all servicing requirements are adhered to
To ensure that any defects or maintenance issues are reported immediately and logged in the maintenance book
To ensure all staff are aware and trained to company health and safety policy
To have a pleasant and helpful demeanour towards the guests even when under pressure
To organise and produce rotas in advance so staff have sufficient notice of shifts
To create awareness in your department for the need to up sell and whenever possible encourage conversations with guests to obtain repeat bookings
To ensure that all laundry stock levels are kept to correct levels
To monitor all stock and put necessary restrictions in place to avoid theft or neglect
To ensure laundry room is clean and tidy at all times
To recycle all waste from the bedrooms and dispose of in the correct bins
To ensure the staff toilets are kept clean on a regular daily basis
To ensure all public areas within the hotel are kept clean and tidy at all times including the main reception, the bar and restaurant area and all hall ways
To build a good relationship with all other heads of departments and assist other departments when required.
We are looking for a candidate with a solid working background with relevant, previous experience.
