We are currently looking to recruit an energetic human resources assistant to volunteer at our Barnardo's shop in Newton Mearns. This role would be ideal for a college or university student pursuing a degree in human resources management, or a professional in the field who would like to use his or her skills and talents to help the vulnerable children and families for whom Barnardo's provides support services.

Qualifications: Current or previous experience or study in human resources management and training.

Role Description: Learn Barnardo's policies and procedures for health and safety, safeguarding, data protection and best practice; assess current performance standards; interface with volunteers to provide training and ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to; report to the manager and complete relevant paperwork in conjunction with the manager to ensure all training records are up to date.

Person specification, required: Energy, enthusiasm, positive outlook, good interpersonal skills.

Person specification, desired: ability to fake laugh at the manager's horrifically bad jokes and spontaneous song and dance.
