Pratts Hotel is 46-bedroom city centre hotel in the heart of Bath, with a bar, restaurant and two small function rooms. The hotel caters for both business and leisure guests, conference, and social events.
The building was built by John Wood the elder in 1743, originally four individual properties. In 1917 Mrs Fredrick Pratt first listed the property as Pratts Hotel.
The hotel is well known in the Bath, and prides itself on the high standards of hospitality and comfort it offer, together with warm & friendly service.

· Previous use of computerised PMS program.
· Fully conversant with Microsoft Excel / Outlook / Word
· Previous hotel reception experience is an essential.

Job Description:
· To set an exemplary first impression.
· To provide accurate guest accounts.
· To maximise revenue where possible by means of up selling.
· To provide accurate figures to other departments with regard to guest counts and numbers for reservations, functions etc.
· To complete daily accounts procedures and ensure correct monies are banked.
· To manage room reservations and allocations in order to maximise room yield for the hotel. Manage internet sites along side your reservationist
· Maintain smooth running of reception
· Checking reception team members have completed all tasks on shift procedures
· Ensuring all functions and events are managed/charge/contracted
· Complete weekly function sheet
· Ensuring all statutory training is complete and up to date
· Cover reception finance department on there holidays
· Write the departmental Rota and authorise timesheets
· Make sure the reception health and safety is kept up to date
