We are looking for an active and adventurous couple to run 2 Farmhouses with pools and 1 small village house in Poitou Charante, in return for free accommodation in a large 5 bedroomed Farmhouse with pool.
The houses are let to holidaymakers from roughly mid May until the end of September but the pools and grass require attention for longer. The woman would be in charge of making sure the houses are prepared for each season, kept in top condition for the clients and then put to bed for the off season .She must be a first class cleaner herself ( can you actally see dirt??) and therefore able to spot anything that has been missed by the local cleaners. She would work with, and oversee them at each client changeover and troubleshoot any problems. It would be her job to make sure anything that is missing is restocked and to ensure that standards are kept high. The man would be in charge of mowing the grass, running the pools and general maintenance. DIY skills for him and common sense for both are essential as well as patience and tact with the clients. . We want to find a couple who would be self motivated and who pay attention to detail. In return we are offering free accommodation in a wonderful 5 bedroom Farmhouse in an amazing setting with its' own 40 foot pool. The job would run for between 2-5 years. A background income would be required and would suit a couple who has a house to rent out in the UK. We ran this business ourselves for 13 years and are now back in the UK. Driver's licences and references required. Spoken French to a basic standard is pretty important. We would want to test your cleaning and DIY skills so please don't apply unless you really do have the requisite experience.
