We are looking for a kind, responsible, enthusiastic live-in Au Pair + with a can-do attitude to join our happy and loving family. We are a South African / British family who have lived all around the world so we know the challenges and excitements of living away from home. We have a two year old little girl who has a very sweet nature and who loves being engaged with fun and creative activity such as singing, dancing, arts & crafts, going to the park and the library.

We would like our Au Pair + to work a total of 30 hours per week, which will include one weekend morning until 10am, plus 2 nights a week staying in to babysit (one week night and one Friday or Saturday night).

In return we will pay £130 per week and give one week’s paid holiday for every 3 months worked. (Some of the holiday must be taken when we are away). Daily break down of the 30 hours can be discussed on an individual basis (to accommodate study, for example).

We live in a lovely family house in Abbeville Village in Clapham, which has local shops, restaurants, bars and good transport links, and is a short walk away from the park. You would have a large bedroom (with a TV and WiFi) on your own floor, and your own bathroom which would only need to be shared with the occasional guest. While you would be whole-heartedly welcomed into our family, your privacy will be respected, and we would ask the same from you.

Your duties would include:
- Helping to take care of our daughter, and initiating and overseeing lots of fun creative activities. I am a stay-at-home mum so will be around but you need to be confident to take sole charge as well and be enthusiastic and proactive about arranging activities.
- At times, dropping or picking up our daughter from nursery school – it is a short bus ride away.
- Helping with preparing healthy children’s meals.
- Helping with bath time.
- Keeping our daughter’s bedroom tidy as well as light housework such as some laundry and ironing and helping to keep the house generally clean and neat. (We do have a cleaning lady who does the heavier housework.)

Requirements:
- Au pair girl who must have previous experience taking care of young children. Experience with babies would be a plus.
- We are looking for a long-term position – minimum stay of 12 months.
- Fluent in English; any nationality may apply.
- Non-smoker only
- Checkable references – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE 2 CHECKABLE REFERENCES.
- Must be available for a face-to-face interview at short notice.
- Start October 2012.
