Job Description - Internship
(Unpaid – 3 to 4 days per week.) – Business Development

The Business

A new start-up consultancy business in the spa and health club industry with a highly experienced and dedicated leader.

Pete Scott as a brand only started trading officially at the beginning of 2012, however already boasts 8 project management contracts on its books, the launch of a cutting edge spa mystery shop programme in July, training courses for spa’s and gyms and has also formed numerous business partnerships resulting in the future for this new company looking very exciting for all those involved.

With this quick success of the Pete Scott brand it has left an immense amount of work to be done on streamlining the product and ensuring as the business grows, the foundations are all in place.

Overall accountability of this does fall upon Pete himself as managing director however for the next 12 weeks he is looking to directly work with an intern who can support the rapid growth of this business and also reap the rewards of this vibrant and forward thinking business.

Based upon performance, on completion of the internship there is also a strong chance for this individual to become part of the Pete Scott brand on a competitive salary and overall business package.

The successful candidate will report directly to Pete Scott, who is the founder and managing director of the Pete Scott brand and their work will be target driven, project based and each day they will be working from a different London location.

This business is ready to step up to the next level in the spa and health club industry and wants a diamond in the rough, a self starter and a professional who has desire beyond the average person to succeed in life and in business. Key responsibilities

- Raising the awareness of the brand through a variety of approaches including
o Online marketing strategies e.g. maximising Linkedin presence and utilizing social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
o Direct marketing via email and cold calling to spa’s and gym’s in London and the rest of the UK.
- Improving and streamlining the content and look of the Pete Scott website and then driving traffic to the site
- Involvement in key strategic meetings with Pete Scott clients and partners
- Working towards set weekly and monthly targets
- Building relationships with current clients and partners and forming new relationships within the spa and health club industry
- Basic administration and accounting/book keeping

Requirements

- Extremely organised and professional
- Good telephone etiquette
- Ability to work towards targets including sales targets
- Self management skills
- Problem solving experience
- Fantastic time management
- Willingness to learn and go above and beyond where necessary

Pete Scott - Promises to the successful candidate

- Full 3 month agreed development plan with clear objectives and goals
- Full NVQ level 2 health and wellness qualification
- Free gym membership (pending on location.)
- Monthly review and performance appraisal from a coaching approach
- Weekly catch up meetings with Pete Scott which are proactive in their approach and not only focus on the business development but the successful applicants as well
- Expenses covered up to an agreed monthly amount
- Ongoing support and training of essential business and life skills which are transferable to numerous industries
- Potential job offer upon completion of internship (based upon intern performance and interview.)
