Energy Engineer

Salary: From £20,000 to £20,000 per annum

We are looking for an Energy Engineer to control all aspects of on site energy usage and expenditure with Iceland properties throughout the UK.
Objectives:
• Maintain an awareness of industry developments relating to energy conservation within Iceland environment
• Develop, Coordinate and implement energy reduction measures on site in stores
• Provide technical and practical advice and offer training on energy efficiency
• Liaise and negotiate with contractors , service providers, suppliers and other relevant organisations
• Ensure accurate records are maintained, energy consumption data is collected, analysed and reported
• Carry out site inspections and energy surveys
• Implement corrective actions identified from data analysis and site surveys to reduce energy consumption
• Feed into specifications and tender documents for energy projects and capital replacement work, including building business cases.
• Liaise with and provide technical support to internal and external customers on new and refurbishment projects relating to energy conservation
• Prepare detailed schedules of work, feasibility studies and payback calculations
• Audit energy works carried out and confirm completion to the appropriate standards
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
• BSC / BA in related subject e.g. Engineering / Science / Technical
• ECDL qualification preferable
• Effective practical knowledge of building services
• Basic understanding of the principles associated with Building Services / Engineering including HVAC, refrigeration, lighting operation and BMS controls theory.
