OEL Group is a growing manufacturing company, specialising in the manufacture and repair of all types of white metal components for the oil and gas industry based in Cramlington.
Following a recent factory expansion and putting on an additional shift to meet the high customer demands we have vacancies for a CNC Machinist’s.
Currently we are recruiting for CNC Millers and CNC Turners to join our busy manufacturing unit on a permanent, full time basis.
Overview of the Role
The role will involve working as a team to operate, set & programme CNC machines with Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems. You will be able to read & interpret technical drawings to be ensure the machine is set to meet the customer’s specifications, which is to a very tight tolerance.
You will be responsible for checking the quality of your own work, measuring the components in both metric and imperial with a variety of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and callipers to ensure they meet customer’s drawings.
All activities are carried out in line with company procedures and full training will be given on procedures and product knowledge.
Previous experience of setting & operating a CNC machine with either Fanuc or Heidhenhain controls is essential. Ideally with a relevant apprenticeship qualification (or equivalent) and experience or working with metal.
This role is based on a shift patterns, 15% premium is paid on all hours worked on the rotating two week shift pattern (Mon-Fri).
Pay
£10.000 to £12.00 per hour depending on experience
