PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To Programme From DXF, Catia Models And Drawings CNC Machines For The Production Of Composite Components For The Aerospace And Commercial Markets, Including A Requirement To Operate The CNC Machines At Ipeco Composites In Order To Verify The Programme And Subsequently Produce Conforming Components From Pre Written CNC Programmes As Required By The Production Team. Our Current Machining Capability Is 3-Axis But Moving To 5 –Axis With New Investments
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Production Of CNC Programmes From Supplied Data

• Production Of Tooling Boards And Tool Paths For Fixtures To Enable Manufacture

• Operation Of The CNC Machines For Manufacture Of Components

• Capable To Work To Engineering Drawings And Achieving Tolerances

• Identification Of Specialist Cutting Tools To Procurement

• Placement And Setting Of Tools On The Machines

• Input Of Offsets To Machine Control In Line With Company Protocol

• Routine Safety Checking And Changing Of Tools And Cutters Due To Wear

• Self Certification Of Product On Completion Of Successful Training Period

• Responsible To Ensuring High Standards Of Housekeeping Are Maintained

• Support To Other Team Members As Required

• To Help Maintain A Safe Working Environment And Observe Published Health And Safety Procedures
