Essential Skills

Must Have Completed Relevant Advice Qualification E.g. Law Centre NI WRAP P Or CAB Advisor Training Programme
A Minimum Of 2 Years Post Training Experience, Gained Within The Last Three Years, Of Providing Welfare Rights Advice To The General Public In A Paid Or Voluntary Capacity
Preferred Skills

Effective Oral And Written Communication Skills To Deal Politely And Tactfully With A Wide Range Of People.
The Ability To Sift Through Information And Extract What Is Relevant And Undertake Financial And Benefit Calculations To Assess The Entitlement Of Customers To Benefits.
In Depth Knowledge Of Welfare Benefits, Departments And Systems, And How They Interface With Each Other
