We are looking to recruit a Chef Partner team to work in a small family run hotel and Restaurant in the South West of France.
ROLE:
Chef: You will be preparing and serving high quality food using fresh ingredients within a small family run team. The restaurant has been recognised in the major food guides and so you must be dedicted and enjoy cooking and serving fine food. You will also be required to be work on your own initiative, be willing to adapt to the needs of the business.
Partner Front Of House: This position will be customer facing and require at least some working knowledge of the French language. The role will predominantly be working in both the restaurant and bedrooms, alongside and deputizing for the owner. Attention to detail and a pleasant outgoing personality is paramount. You will be working within a family business and therefore the need to be easygoing and polite is essential.
LOCATION: The Hotel is situated in the wine growing area of Bordeaux, about half an hour from St Emilion and 40 minutes from Bergerac. For more information please contact us directly for an informal chat.
START DATE: Immediate – until October 30th 2012
HOURS: The hours of work will vary from day to day dependent on business levels. This may mean split shifts from time to time. Both positions will be working six days per week .
PAY: You will each be paid on a self employed basis at 1000 euros per calendar month, this will be paid directly to your UK bank account. You will also receive accommodation and meals on duty. There will also be an end of season bonus paid to you in cash upon completion of the contract.
TRAVEL: The cost of travel to hotel will be at your own cost
REQUIREMENTS: You MUST meet the following requirements to be considered for the role.
1. Be available to work in France for the duration of the contract
2. Hold a European Passport & British National Insurance Number.
3. Have previous relevant experience.
4. Both of you will be “self starting” and able to work on own initiative.
5. At least one of you will hold a valid driving license. (A car is available for your use including days off)
