Kitchen Supervisor/chef.
To supervise all areas of our kitchen and back of house operation and be a part of our small team at our restaurant at Moors Valley Country Park. Aplicants must be able to work efficiently under pressure using initiative and organizational skills to serve our customers in our busy restaurant and help organize and produce excellent quality menus and food for our events and outside catering functions.

Our Restaurant is at times high volume. Our menus provide classic Rustic British cuisine using fresh ingredients including Homemade burgers, pies, fish and chips, curry and a range of homemade cakes. Our wedding and evening functions at the restaurant provide high quality buffets and banqueting for upto 100 people.
We also provide catering for outside events and weddings through our sister company Signature Catering.

You will be working closely within a small team with the owners of the business and managers to provide excellent food and a safe working and food safe enviroment. We currently hold a 5 star food safety rating.

A good knowledge of cooking techniques and baking is essential.

Experience of high volume and event catering would be an advantage.
Must have at least current level 2 food hygiene certificate.

Will be responsible for complying with all current HACCP food safety and health and safety laws.
Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard
help to order stock and control and sustain sufficient stock levels
Communicate thoroughly and pro-actively to avert any mistakes.
to control busy shifts in our kitchen leading a team of 3/4 to deliver good food fast and safely to our customers.
To help develop new and exciting menus in accordance with our guests needs.
Hours are full time between the hours of 8am until 7pm plus occasional evening functions. Spread over 5 Days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends per month

Pay; £22,000 per annum pro rata. This contract is temporary until the end of October 2013 when it will be reviewed.

Must be smart, clean and able to work in a friendly atmosphere in a small team.
Uniform provided. Meals on duty, holiday pay, pension available.
