Job Title; Catering Manager
Based at; Ludlow Mascall Centre
Position reports to business managers
Pea Green catering company; offering breakfast, lunch, hospitality and evening meals within the Centre as well as providing outside catering to functions, events and customers in the local area.
You will need to be passionate about providing excellent food and customer service, your skills in these areas must be first class. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as being financially astute and able to achieve budgetary targets. NVQ Level 2 in Hopsitality & Catering or similar qualifications are an advantage but not vital. You will also need to be computer literate and comfortable with Word and Excel. Driving licence and personal transport will be required.
It is preferred that you have Team leadership skills as well having knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. Food Safety Level 3 is desirable.

The day to day routine of a catering manager is likely to vary greatly but can include:
• Providing people staying at the centre and visiting with hot and cold food and beverages.
• Regular client contact and reviews
• supervising catering and waiting staff
• organising, leading and motivating the catering team;
• ensuring all paperwork, quality, food hygiene and health and safety records are strictly and accurately completed.
• monitoring the quality of the product and service provided;
• keeping financial and administrative records;
• managing and monitoring spending levels;
• liaising with suppliers and clients.
• maximising sales and meeting profit and financial expectations.
• keeping abreast of trends and developments in the industry, such as menus, trends in consumer tastes
• maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies as required
• developing the client base within Ludlow and the surrounding area
• any other day to day duties required by the post

Main hours of work are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with the requirement for flexibility of hours. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
Salary of £14,500-£19,000 per anum depending on experience. Job share applicants & experienced home cooks will be considered.
