WORK HISTORY

April 2010 – Present : In early 2010 it became apparent that my youngest son had some severe medical problems and after various tests could offer no real explanation I took a less active role within the company to help at home. With no improvement in his condition and with him requiring operations and regular tests I stepped down as a director in April 2010 to take some time out to spend with my family and also to reassess my plans for the future . His condition is far more stable now and as such I am ready to return to work. I am very excited at the prospect of entering into a new project after quite a lengthy time out and consequently am applying for the position within your company.

July 2008 –April 2010 : Director / Contracts Manager : After leaving my previous position myself and four friends set up a facilities management company which continues to go from strength to strength. The company had 30 employees and was primarily a call centre operation. This
was by far my most challenging role . I was listed as a Director for this company and my duties involved hiring staff organising client meetings and various associated tasks. I also performed the role of contracts manager within this company and was instrumental in bringing on some very lucrative contracts. I ceased being an active Director of this company in April .

June 2007 – July 2008 : Call Centre Account Manager : RHL Ibrox : In this role I was responsible for signing customers to SKY. I achieved a record 18 sign ups in a day and at the time of leaving this had not been surpassed. I enjoyed this role immensely but left to concentrate on my new venture.

May 2006 – June 2007 : Team Leader Door Canvass \ Shop Display Team : Osprey Marketing : In this role I again worked for the Scottish Power Contract , Managing a team of ten sales rep in various locations throughout Scotland organising sales displays in shopping centres and also door to door sales

July 2005 – May 2006 : Call Centre Staff : I Response Cumbernauld : I was working on the Scottish Power Campaign within this role and surpassed all targets set. I left this role to work closer to home.

June 2004 – July 2005 : Shop Manager : The Bed Depot , Paisley : I gained vast experience in this position as it was my first real management role. I was responsible for many different aspects such as being responsible for the shop targets and reporting directly to the Area Manager for this company. I left this role as the company was downsizing and eventually went into liquidation.

July 2002 – July 2004
During this period I was attending college and worked in numerous positions for a variety of companies as a temp. I have detailed the main positions I held at this time.

May 2003 – June 2004 : Telesales Account Manager : Excell Contact Centre Paisley : This was my first call centre job and I really enjoyed working within this environment.

July 2002 – May 2003 : Chargehand : Station Bar Paisley : In this role I was responsible for the day to day running of the bar and restaurant , locking up , ordering stock etc.

May 2001 – July 2002 : Accounts Manager : Harlequin Jewellery Ltd : In this role I was responsible for paying wages and ordering stock alongside many other associated tasks. I left this role as I had reached a ceiling within the company and could only progress with further qualifications. As such I returned to college to gain my HND.

1999 – May 2001 : Accounts Assistant : A & L Tranport : This was my first role after leaving school. I was responsible for general accounts tasks and various administration duties. I left this role as I wanted to further my career in the Accounts Industry and was offered a better salary and greater incentives.
