BUSINESS, QHSE &TRAINING MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

I- Job information:

Job title: BUSINESS, QHSE &TRAINING MANAGER
Job code:

Reporting to: CONTRACTS & COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Job purpose: train company clients through a variety of methods including classroom trainings and practical, and other means determined to be appropriate and effective for the implementation of a good safety culture. Serve as an advisor, collaborator, hands-on training developer and trainer as required, implement a quality HSE company culture. Source for clients for the company as well as follow up, renew and diligently assist in already existing contracts.

II- KEY JOB TASKS

A-BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

-Develop, generate and negotiate new business relationship and contracts for the company
-Present the Company to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails
-Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure business administration
-Respond to call to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
-Ensure the Company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients
-Identify new business opportunities using relevant research tools
-Manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation: presentations, proposals to meet client’s needs.
-Present monthly report of activities

B- TRAINING

- Determine new courses and delivery methods to most effectively promote the
Knowledge and skills necessary to integrate the new system into day-to-day business
Practices
-Produce training courses, lesson plans and training material
-Interpret guidelines and analyze available information for the purpose of coordinating efforts, planning, and implementing training initiatives
- Coordinate “train the trainer” activities and actively participate with system user group
-Oversee logistical support for training initiatives and produce supplemental training documentation as appropriate
- Produce timely training report to client
-Assure the viability, functionality and effectiveness of all training tools
-Adapt or modify training processes in response to changing circumstances
-Evaluate training effectiveness and impacts to individual and organizational performance

C- QHSE

- Implement quality HSE standards and culture in the company trough regular meetings with staff
-Monitor unusual occurrences, report and follow up on daily HSE issues
-Keep records of all HSE events and reports and address a monthly HSE report to the hierarchy
-Custodian of company HSE policies in charge of write ups, renewal, updates, etc
-Write and implement monthly company HSE plan
-Compile statistical data and write narrative reports summarizing appropriate HSE findings
-Review, track and communicate information regarding HSE process variation
-Maintain current and accurate records of all relevant HSE issues and corrective action plans for effective monitoring
- Anticipate program release problems and take corrective actions, escalating as needed to resolve and achieve commitments
- Maintain the company First Aid Box
-Monitor company vehicles movements and carry out regular checks on said cars including but not limited to car tool boxes, technical control, servicing, and other maintenance issues
-Perform other assigned duties as necessary within the realm of HSE and Training Department

III- JOB SPECIFICATIONS

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

-University graduated in HSE; at least 5 years experience as QHSE Manager or Director, designing and implementing training programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Strong facilitation and organization skills, attention to details required
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Results driven with the ability to handle multiple deadlines under pressure
-Proven ability to produce training courses, lesson plans, and training material
-Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions
-Evidence of past experience in Company certification: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18881, etc
-Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures
-Enjoys a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment
-Good interpersonal and team work skills
-Ability to travel up to 50% of time work
-Demonstrated ability to present complex technical material to non-technical people
