Are you motivated by working with not-for-profit organisations and want to help them create useful, high value websites? Can you help us to help them?
We require a highly motivated and self-organising person who is interested in working with charities and not-for-profit organisations. Were looking for a non-pressurising sales person who is able to prioritise a busy schedule of written quotes and face-to-face presentations.
Roles you may have fulfilled could include
Website content editor/manager for a charity or not-for-profit
Project manager or account manager at a web design company
Website developer/designer- having a good technical understanding of the discipline
Your Responsibilities
Generating, qualifying and following up new leads
Writing quote documents in response to tender invitations, working out pricing, time-lines
Translating client's requirements into specific technical systems and processes
Presenting and demonstrating at pitches
Following up and negotiating the close of a sale
Working with members of our team to create the sales and marketing strategy
From time-to-time attending conferences or events to represent Fat Beehive
Your experience and qualities
Sales and marketing experience, especially in the creative or consultancy sector (eg brand agency, environmental consultancy)
A track record of generating leads and closing sales
Technical experience - of websites and CMS platforms
An understanding of user centred design
An understanding and empathy with the not-for-profit and charity sector
An excellent relationship builder who can act as a trusted representative of Fat Beehive and our work
Confident and relaxed manner, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
Ability to communicate the technical aspects of web development in plain, jargon-free English
Clear, concise and engaging writing style
A great organiser with excellent time management
What We Offer
We work in a relaxed, informal office with music, often cake and always coffee. We offer an a training budget, a pension scheme, an iPhone account, drinks on Fridays, and a weekly chair massage (from a qualified masseuse) to prevent RSI.
We're a small company that welcomes ideas, opinions and input. You will be working within a committed team who are involved and interested in constantly improving what we do. We go out for dinner from time to time and have a christmas do, but apart from that there is no official "fun". We actively encourage working your hours of 10am - 6pm, we believe building great teams happens when you do great work together and then go home!
95% of our clients are charity and not-for-profit organisations. We actively seek to work with this type of client and this means you'll get to work with some very nice people indeed.
Salary: £28-35K depending on skills and experience
