A Growing Book-keeping Company Is Looking For Reliable, Loyal, Experienced Book-keepers To Fill Client Gaps. Working One To Five Days Per Week, On An On-going Basis.

We Are Looking For Book-keepers Who Will Be Responsible For:
• Entering Sales & Purchase Ledger Invoices
• Reconciling Bank Statements On A Monthly Basis
• Petty Cash
• Paying Suppliers & Recording Receipts
• VAT Returns
• Working Knowledge Of Sage Line 50 OR Quickbooks

Flexibility, Tidy Presentation & Good Spoken English Is A Must, Because You’ll Be Travelling To Clients Premises In And Around London. Punctuality And An Easy-going Nature Is Required. Work Is Ongoing, So We Need People To Be Around For The Foreseeable Future.

Person Specification:

1. Qualifications:
Essential: The Candidate Should Be Educated To GCSE ‘A’-Level Standard Or Equivalent.
Desirable: AAT Foundation, Pitman Basic Book-Keeping Certificate.

2. Experience:
Essential: Basic Book-keeping – Preferably To Trial Balance Level.
Desirable: Financial Background.

3. Aptitudes & Ability:
Essential: Good Organisational & Administrational Skills. Knowledge Of Word & Excel And At Least One Accounting Package E.g. Sage, QuickBooks, Kashflow Or Mahmut
Desirable: Sage Payroll Would Be Advantageous. Fast, Accurate Data Inputting Skills Would Be Helpful.

4. Personal Attributes:
Essential: The Candidate Should Be Self-motivated, Enthusiastic And Able To Manage And Direct Their Own Workload. You Need To Have A ‘pleasing’ Personality, And To Be Able To ‘get On’ With People From All Walks Of Life.

5. Other:
Applications From Mature Candidates Welcome. Please Note That We Are Looking For Ongoing Permanent Staff Who Want To Be BOOK KEEPERS, And Not Trainee Accountants.

Initial Support Will Always Be Given On Assignments, But One MUST Be Able To Work Unsupervised, Under Their Own Steam & Initiative And Manage Their Own Workload. We’re Willing To Train People Up On Systems That They’ve Not Used Before, But You Do Need To Be Willing To Learn.
