Bridge Shoreditch is a successful boutique estate agency based in Shoreditch on the fringe of the City.
Over the past 20 years we have built up the reputation for being the East London specialists in property sales and lettings.
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to to oversee our company and client accounts.
Initially this role would be focused on organising our client account and then moving on to implementing daily bookkeeping practices (using SAGE) within sales, lettings and property management. This is likely to include a handover from our external accountants. This role has the possibility for progression if the candidate shows a high level of competency in the current role. These further accounting duties may include Payroll and VAT returns and the provision of ad-hoc reports to management weekly sales reports, monthly profit and loss, cashflow forecasting and outstanding debtor reports.
Client account administration - receiving rents, paying landlords, control account reconciliation
Management of company bookkeeping affairs using Sage line 50 software
Overseeing accounts payable & receivable ledgers
Raising invoices using Sage
Proficiency in Excel and Sage line 50 is essential.
Must have a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping including bank reconciliation.
Candidates should have experience of Client Accounting procedures.
Previous bookkeeping experience is essential, preference will be given to those from an estate/letting agency background.
Keen eye for detail, adaptable and flexible approach.
Hours Monday to Friday 10am-4pm (30hrs)
Salary - £16k to £20k depending on experience
This role will be solely office based.
Bridge Shoreditch is a small company with a family-feel working atmosphere and would be willing to accommodate candidates with various motives for working these hours. However candidates should live within an easy commute of our offices on Curtain Road, EC2A 3AA.
