The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To Manage And Lead A Team Of Teaching Staff Within The School To Ensure High Quality Teaching And Learning With The Ultimate Aim Of Maximised Attainment For All Pupils. The Post-holder Will, Initially, Be Responsible For The Science Faculty, Consisting Of Science (Biology, Chemistry And Physics) And Teaching Specifically Biology. While It Would Be Useful For The Person Appointed To Have Had Experience In Chemistry And Physics, This Is Not Essential.
The Successful Candidate Will Be An Active Member Of The Extended Management Team Who Will Be Responsible For The Development, Implementation And Monitoring Of Effective Teaching And Learning Policies And Procedures Within Allocated Departments. Within This Context The Post-holder Will Monitor And Evaluate Teaching And Learning Experiences Within The Classroom And Will Remain Aware Of Current Theories And Practice Relating To Effective Classroom Teaching.
