Behavioural tutor required
Southwest, London

Sorry, this ad is no longer available.

We are looking to set up a “Behavioural Correction” programme from Monday to Friday for three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon for our 4 year old son who has behavioural difficulties (mainly poor socialisation skills and poor control of emotions).

The programme would be overseen by a Behavioural Analyst and it would run in term time and in school holidays. During term time the tutors would shadow our son for three hours/day at a nursery and then after a break, for 3 hours/day at home.  Other settings would include local playgrounds, play dates at home and outside etc. Sessions are a mixture of play, games, crafts, writing, reading etc. So plenty of fun! Duties would not include meal preparation or any of the regular nanny duties. No behavioural correction experience is required as extensive training is provided and constantly modified in workshops as we make progress.  This would be an ABA programme (Applied Behaviour Analysis) which is commonly used for autistic children, although in this instance our son does not suffer from autism.

We are looking for organised, energetic individuals interested in working in our home and school near Clapham Common at least until January 2013. Sessions would continue in the summer holidays. We are offering £12/hour.  Our son is a bright, smiley, exuberant, highly communicative, lovable, sociable chap who needs some extra support.
Interested candidates should email their CV and availability (which days/week, timings etc).  Mother tongue English only please.
It’s important to note that I will not reply to any emails from 5th to 17th April.
